Camera up for grabs in hospital logo competition
A digital camera and the chance to see your work displayed across the region are up for grabs in a competition at Goole Hospital.
Staff at Goole Surgical Treatment Centre, which is based at the hospital, are inviting people to design an eye-catching new logo which will be used on bill boards, posters, stationery and patient-information leaflets.
First prize is a digital camera, second prize is a two-hour private lesson with a local artist and there are also runner up prizes, such as artists' materials and a meal out for all the family.
Designs must be in blue and white, on A4 paper. The competition is open to people of any age and the deadline is Thursday October 4.
The competition is being launched to coincide with an expansion of the centre's services to include general surgery, as while as orthopaedic and ophthalmology procedures.
Centre manager Gaby Sadowyj said: "We now want to proudly display a new logo designed by a local person which captures exactly what the centre is all about.
"The winning design will not only be used on all our notices, posters and stationery but will also be included in billboard adverts."
"The centre has won national awards and provides a high standard of care for patients having a wide range of operations, from hip and knee replacements to sporting injuries, lumps and bumps to gall-bladder surgery, and many more."
All competition entries should be sent to: Design a Logo competition, Goole Surgical Treatment Centre, Woodland Avenue, Goole, DN14 6RX. Entrants must include their name, age and contact details.
