A course that invites readers to explore the meaning of life is coming to Howden for the first time next week.

The ten-week Alpha course will begin on Wednesday, October 3 at Howden Methodist Church at 7.15pm, and will take place at the same time every week until December 19.

Each evening will begin with a light supper, followed by a video, coffee break and then group discussion, before ending at around 9.30pm.

Alpha is a practical and contemporary introduction to the Christian faith, and provides a relaxed and informal opportunity for those taking part to make up their own mind about Christianity in a friendly atmosphere. It is designed primarily for those who do not regularly attend church.

More than 1.8 million people throughout the UK are estimated to have taken part in an Alpha course, and it is hoped that the Howden Alpha course will prove a success.

For more information about the free course, please contact 01430 430930. All are welcome.
