Plans for a new retirement centre in Goole will be unveiled next Thursday, September 13.

Builders McCarthy and Stone will display plans to redevelop the health centre on Bartholomew Avenue into a private retirement centre at a public exhibition.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the company and ask questions about the proposed scheme, which includes a mix of one- and two-bedroom private apartments designed to meet older people's needs.

Proposed on-site facilities include a 24-hour personal emergency service, a house manager, a central lounge for social events and a guest suite for friends and family to stay overnight.

The exhibition will take place in the Meeting Room at The Courtyard, on Boothferry Road between 3pm and 7.30pm. For more information on the scheme or exhibition, call McCarthy and Stone on 0800 0151 446.
