A JUDGE has ordered the arrest of a Goole teenager after she failed to appear at court charged with a robbery.

Judge Roger Thorn, QC, agreed to issue police with an immediate arrest warrant for Kylie-jay Newman (18) of Dunhill Road in Goole, at Hull Crown Court on Monday, September 3.

Miss Newman was due at court to enter a plea to the charge of robbing Anna Dulga of a mobile telephone on May 11 near Goole Railway Station.

Her barrister, Charlotte Eastwood, could not resist an application by Crown barrister Jharna Jobes that the warrant be issued.

The judge ordered that Miss Newman should be arrested and held until she could be brought before the court for a hearing.
