Fifty-nine pupils from Butterfly Dance Studios recently took their International Dance Teachers' Association tap dancing exams, 26 of them gaining 85 per cent and above (Honours), 24 of them being marked between 80 per cent and 84 per cent (Highly Commended), and nine being commended with between 74 per cent and 79 per cent.

The IDTA examiner commented: "All candidates were well-groomed, polite and fully versed in exam procedure. A pleasing standard of work was shown."

The dancers are now in full swing into their rehearsals for Butterfly Studios' end of year show Alice in Wonderland. Anyone wishing to join in these rehearsals should telephone 01405 780626. (09-08-76 SU)
