Thieves in Goole are continuing to target bikes left outside shops.

A child's blue and white Mongoose mountain bike was taken from outside Argos, in Wesley Square, at around 1pm last Saturday.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who knows anything about the theft, or the whereabouts of the bike.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference 1506557.

This week's theft follows a similar incident last Monday evening, when a thief needed just three minutes to make off with a bike left outside Jacksons.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Cyclists are advised not to leave bikes insecure, as it only takes a second to become the victim of an opportunist thief."
