Day passes for flood victims
Residents in the area who have been flooded recently can apply for a 'flood relief activity pass', which gives access to free day trips, events and leisure activities.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has launched the scheme, which offers a range of free activities and discounts to children, the elderly and families who have suffered damage in their homes because of the recent floods. To use the scheme residents need to register for a pass. They can then apply to go on free day trips or show the pass at places offering a flood relief pass discount. These include, the Eye on the Bay at Bridlington, Cruckley Animal Farm and Burton Agnes Hall. The pass also entitles children and their families to free Summer Scorcha and countryside access activities and a three-month premier Surecard, valid at any East Riding of Yorkshire Council leisure centre.
Andrew Milner, assistant chief executive (communications) said: "We want to offer those affected by the flood a chance to have a trip out and enjoy the local sights. Many of these people won't be going on holiday this summer due to the disruption and we felt we wanted to do everything we could to enable them to have a summer break.
"The programme includes something for every age, from children to adults and we'd like to thank the local businesses who are joining with the council in helping us to provide this offer."

Please note that Floodline staff will need to confirm that homes have suffered damage in the recent floods.
