Charity tea treats for slimmers
Goole slimmers recently took part in the NSPCC's 'Stop for Tea' event and managed to raise £42 for vulnerable and at-risk children. Slimmers at Sue Bedford's Courtyard Slimming World group, held at 6pm on Wednesdays, have been baking and sampling some delicious teatime treats with a special slimming twist.
Consultant Sue said: "It's easy to adapt recipes and make them into a healthier alternative. 'Stop for Tea' was a fantastic way to bring members together to share ideas, while raising money by asking for a donation to try the wonderful treats that were made."
Slimming World is a long-term supporter of the NSPCC and in 2006 donated more than £123,000 to the charity.
