News 'Special evening' for Solo Club
Goole Solo Club is sending out a big 'thank you' to all those who helped to make its recent 20th birthday celebration such a massive success.
The club, which is part of the National Federation of Solo Clubs and was established for the benefit of people who find themselves widowed, divorced, separated or single, celebrated 20 successful years on Saturday, August 4 with a dance at Drax Sports and Social Club.
Roy Threadgold, secretary of Goole club, said: "We would wish to say a special thank you to all the people of Goole and district, large and small businesses, and also friends of Solo, for the generous donation of prizes for our dance. This went a great way towards completing a very special evening."
