A Goole man facing a string of drugs, gun and motoring charges appeared before Goole Magistrates' Court earlier this week.

Eugene Francis (38), who is currently being held in custody at HMP Hull but who formerly lived in Goole, faces a charge of possessing a shortened shotgun, possessing a prohibited firearm and a further charge of being in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine.

Appearing in court on Tuesday, he also faced two additional charges of driving without a full licence and driving without insurance.

Magistrates committed the drugs and gun charges to Hull Crown Court, where Mr Francis will appear on September 3, and adjourned the two motoring offences until November 9, when he will appear before Goole Magistrates' Court.
