Charity appeal
Staff at a charity shop in Goole's Wesley Square are appealing for donations in order to raise funds for the charity's work.
The Thorne House Services for Autism charity shop urgently needs fresh stock to sell in its retail shop, and all profits will go towards providing care and support for children and adults with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Donations of clothing, shoes, handbags, books and all saleable items are being sought.
Manager Diane Gover said: "We really appreciate donations from the community as this helps us to support many people with autism and helps them to lead better lives."
Thorne House Services for Autism is a Yorkshire-based charity and has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in providing residential, day care and community services for people with autism. Donations can be taken directly to the shop, and the charity also welcomes volunteers to help in its shops.
