Police investigating a bag snatch in broad daylight have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

The bag was stolen from a woman who was working as a photographer in Boots Chemist's on Friday, June 22.

The victim, who was 25 and from Goole, left her handbag unattended on the window sill of the Wesley Square shop for short time at around 5pm.

Her brown leather bag had a flower pattern on the inside.

Inside was a Sony Cybershot camera, a purse containing a small amount of cash, a store card and a driving licence.

Officers would like to speak to the man captured on CCTV.

They also believe that a woman, described as white with long dark hair and wearing a dark top, may have been involved in the theft.

She is not in the CCTV images, however.

Anyone who may be able to identify the man, who witnessed the theft or who found the discarded bag is asked to contact police.

Equally, if you saw anyone acting suspiciously inside the shop, contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
