Snaith and District Sports Centre has been awarded an e-ffective Connection Award through BT Community Connections - a nationwide award scheme that connects community and voluntary groups to the internet.

The award is an additional IT package of equipment to supplement the NEC PC. The award recognises groups who can demonstrate how the extra IT equipment can benefit and enhance their work and community. In its fourth Year the BT Community Connections scheme has awarded more than 5,000 IT packages to thousands of community groups across the UK.

Snaith and District sports centre was one of hundreds of applicants for the award scheme and impressed the judges with ideas on how the centre would continue to benefit the local community using additional equipment offered through the e-ffective Connection Award Package.

Beth Courtier, head of BT's Charity programme, said: "We hope this additional award will encourage our winners to continue and expand their group's positive work in the local community."
