The Goole Neighbourhood Policing Team is co-ordinating a multi-agency operation in a bid to name and shame offenders causing anti-social behaviour in the area and is urging residents to lend officers a helping hand next week.

Anti-social behaviour can take many forms - including underage drinking, damage to property and nuisance behaviour - and reports of such activity in the Newport Street and Kent Road area of town, taking place around Boothferry Primary School and Goole College, have been received recently.

Vandalism to Boothferry Primary School alone costs around £5,000 each year, and the majority of this is caused during the holiday periods.

Humberside Police and East Riding of Yorkshire Council Safe Communities team are working together to tackle anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime and as part of this bid, the Goole Neighbourhood Policing Team aims to identify and prosecute any offenders causing anti-social behaviour, particularly during the school holiday period.

The team is urging members of the public to help them crack down on anti-social behaviour by going along to the Dunhill Road Community Centre next Monday, July 30 between 5pm and 7pm to discuss policing concerns. At all other times, the team will be available in person at Goole Police Station, or by calling 0845 6060222.
