A group of four youngsters from Newport has planned a number of fundraising events over the school summer holidays as part of Humberside Police's Lifestyle initiative.

The Fantastic Four, made up of Newport Primary pupils Joe Ulliott, James Fillingham, Daisy Marrison and Katie Mounser, have organised a six-mile sponsored walk that is due to take place on August 1 and have already raised £200 from the upcoming event.

A fun day for children under nine-years-old in Newport is also set to be hosted on Wednesday, August 29 on the school field, from 1.30pm. The event is free and all under nine-year-olds are welcome to come along and take part.

The team have even organised a non-uniform day at the primary school, due to take place before the summer holiday begins on Wednesday, July 18, based around a 'what I want to be when I grow up' theme.

All money raised from the Fantastic Four's fundraising events will go back into the Newport community.
