Police are warning motorists not to leave valuables in their cars after another satellite navigation system was stolen.

The warning comes after a theft from a white Vauxhall van which was parked on Kings Causeway in Swinefleet. Sometime between 11.30am on Monday (July 16) and 12.50am on Tuesday, a thief or thieves smashed a passenger window and stole a satellite navigation system and a meter for measuring damp.

This week's theft follows a similar incident on June 27, when a bag containing a satellite navigation system was taken from a Volvo parked on Marshfield Road in Goole.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the theft or who may know who is responsible.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting 1499325.
