One of East Yorkshire's leading independent house builders, Peter Ward Homes, has once again walked away with the honours at the house building industry's 'Oscars' ceremony.

The company, which has built scores of homes in the Goole area in recent years and is currently developing Captain's Close in the town, picked up the highest value award of any company from the Hull and East Yorkshire region at this year's prestigious British Housebuilder Awards at The Savoy in London.

Peter Ward, founder and managing director of the company, was presented with the coveted Silver Award by TV celebrity Vanessa Feltz.
