Confused man on motorway

Published on 12th July 2007 in News

A Highways Agency patrol found a man 'staggering' along the westbound carriageway of the M62 early on Saturday morning (July 7).

Shortly after 9am, the man was spotted on the motorway between junctions 35 and 36, and police were called but a Highways Agency patrol car that was in the area reached the man first.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said the man was seen to be 'staggering'. When stopped by the Highways Agency patrol he appeared to be 'sober but confused'.

After speaking to Highways Agency staff, the man left the motorway and walked off across a field.
