Sat Nav smash and grab

Thieves smashed their way into a car in order to steal a satellite navigation system last week.

The offenders used a brick to smash the window of a green Volvo parked on Marshfield Road in Goole, between 10pm last Wednesday (June 27) and 5.45am on Thursday.

Stolen from the back seat of the car was a bag containing a satellite navigation system and road maps.

Police would like to remind people not to leave valuable items in cars when they are unattended.

Anyone with any information about the theft is asked to call Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222, quoting crime reference number 1493855.
