Top show from youth dancers

An exciting dance initiative which has involved around 200 young people, aged 14 to 18 years, across the East Riding during the last two years, is gearing up to its final platform in July.
The project has received funding for a further year of £59,069 from Arts Council England. The project will now include 11- to 13-year-olds and establish an East Riding of Yorkshire County Dance Company.
The East Riding Youth Dance Platform will be the final performance of the two year project, taking place at Goole Leisure Centre on Sunday, July 1 at 6pm. It will feature a range of styles including break dancing, hip hop and contemporary.
The £65,000 Youth Dance project has been funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Arts Council England. It is already recognised nationally as a model of good practice for dance in the community.
Tickets for the final performance are £3 for adults or £2 for concessions and are available on 01482 392966 or the hotline on 07795337492.
For more information on the project, visit the website on www.eryd.co.uk.
