Health Unit fight continues

Published on 28th June 2007 in News

Petitions calling for Bartholomew House to stay open have been handed to the Humber Mental Health Trust.

Two petitions with almost 1,200 signatures between them were given to Dave Knapp from the trust.

Sharon Whitehead, who organised one of the petitions, has thanked everyone who signed it, and also the Goole Times, Coggraves Chemist and Chappelows for making the forms avaialble.

"In a town that is often accused of apathy, I think to raise this level of response shows how much Bartholomew House is needed," she said.

A report will be prepared for the trust board, which meets on July 25.
