Competition to name village compost group

Published on 21st June 2007 in News

Snaith and Cowick residents are being urged to don their thinking caps and come up with a name for the new community composting group that is forming in the area.

The group is currently known as the 'Snaith and Cowick Community Composting Scheme,' but members of the working party are looking for a more creative name.

All suggestions will be entered into a competition and the winner will be presented with the first bag of compost made by the scheme. The competition ends on Sunday, July 8, when the scheme's working party will have an information stall at the Open Garden event, in aid of the NSPCC, at Wesley Place Community Centre in Snaith.

The composting group is still looking for a suitable site for the scheme and are asking anyone who can offer a space to get in touch. If you think you can assist in any way, or would like more general information about the group and its work, please contact either Peter or Shirley Wragg on 01405 860158 or Cath Kibbler on 07739459515.
