Play area funding

Town councillors have asked that information about play areas provided by developers be made more accessible.
The East Riding of Yorkshire of Council has drawn up a draft of new guidelines relating to the play areas that housing developers are required to provide or contribute to when building new houses.
At Monday's meeting, councillors generally approved of the new guidelines, which will mean that commuted sums can be applied to developments of just one house, instead of just multiple properties.
However, they agreed that clearer information would enable them to follow up the commuted sums and help ensure they go towards high quality play areas.
