Temporary storage agreed

Goole town councillors have agreed to support a planning application by a building supplier to continue storing materials - but have said it should be the last time temporary permission should be granted.
At Monday's meeting, chair Malcolm Boatman said that due to an oversight, Timloc Building Products Ltd, of Rawcliffe Road, were applying retrospectively for planning permission to store plastic.
Some councillors felt that they should object to the application on the grounds that it was retrospective but Cllr Shirley Marshall pointed out: "There have been no problems in the past with this company."
The majority of councillors voted in favour of supporting the application but requested a condition that would prohibit them from applying for temporary storage again.
They feel that it should either be a permanent arrangement, or should not exist at all.
