Work on the £20 million Ozone development at Booth Fields, near Howden is continuing apace as the first unit has now been completed and another company has signed up to become part of the distribution park.

The first completed unit on the 32-acre development sits in a high-profile position at the entrance to the site and is now available to lease.

And in another success story for Horncastle plc, the company behind the major development near junction 37 of the M62, construction work has now started on a state-of-the-art digital printing facility for the Image Data Group.

Horncastle director Ian Hodges said: "It's tremendous news to see the first unit completed, because companies who have expressed an interest in the Ozone can now see at first hand the quality of the premises that will be available. We are already talking to a number of businesses about developing bespoke facilities for them.

"With its excellent communication links and availability of skilled labour, the Goole and Howden area is developing into an important employment and distribution hub, and we are delighted that the Image Data Group selected the Ozone ahead of other sites and the area and have now begun work on their facility."

The Ozone development will comprise seven units ranging from 2,375 sq m (25,565 sq ft) to 6,825 sq m (73,466 sq ft). There is also the potential to combine plots and create larger units of up to 200,000 square feet if required.
