The Snaith and Cowick Drama Group is gearing up for what is set to be another fantastic production following the success of James and the Giant Peach last year.

The group is set to perform John Godber's comedy Teechers at Howden Shire Hall on Friday, July 13, beginning at 8pm, and at Snaith School on Saturday, July 14, beginning at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from The Paper Shop in Market Place, Snaith, Jemmy Hirst at the Rose and Crown in Rawcliffe, or from the Howden Shire Hall Box Office, contactable on 01430 432510, at a cost of £5.50 for adults and £3.50 concession. Alternatively, tickets can be bought on the door of each venue but there will be no concession tickets.

The comedy will contain some strong language, although Joan Harvey from Snaith and Cowick Drama group told this newspaper that permission had just been granted to omit some of the strong language.

Meanwhile, Snaith and Cowick Drama Group is also on the lookout for a new director for future productions after the current director has announced she is to move to London to work with a drama company. For more information on what the role will entail, please contact Joan Harvey on 01405 869958.

The group rehearses in the Old Grammar School in Snaith each Thursday, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, and is always prepared to welcome new members. For more information, contact Joan on the above number.
