Police advice

Residents in the Goole and Howden areas are to be updated with the latest information on their neighbourhood policing teams.
The posters, which will include contact details, will be distributed to community outlets such as GP surgeries, libraries and local businesses across the area and are a follow-up to flyers that were created for each neighbourhood policing officer to hand out over recent months.
They are part of a national Neighbourhood Policing campaign designed to make communities aware of the work their neighbourhood team officers are involved in.
Details of the teams are also available on the Humberside Police website at www.humbersidepolice.uk
Tim Hollis, Chief Constable of Humberside Police, said: "The primary aim of neighbourhood policing is to provide an appropriate policing response that meets the needs of everyone living in, working or visiting the area, especially victims, witnesses and other vulnerable people, to inspire confidence in the police and reduce the fear of crime by working with all sectors of the community to reduce anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder.
"The aim of neighbourhood policing in Humberside is to ensure the right people are at the right places, in the right numbers, to create neighbourhoods that are safe and feel safe.
"It is also about maximising opportunities to work with partner agencies and communities to provide improved neighbourhood conditions and feelings of security."
"All neighbourhoods now have a dedicated police officer, known as a neighbourhood beat manager, who should be known to all members of that community and act as the point of contact for non-emergency issues.
"The neighbourhood beat managers form part of a team comprising police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), local authority wardens and other enforcement and environmental agencies who can act independently or as part of a team to tackle local quality of life issues."
