Witnesses sought to fatal collision

Police are re-appealing for information and witnesses relating to the death of a man who was struck by a lorry on the M62 near Goole earlier this month.
53-year-old Paul Ramon Thorpe, from South Yorkshire, died following a collision involving an 18-tonne Volvo tipper truck, driven by a 25-year-old West Yorkshire man, on Friday, September 8.
The lorry was travelling eastbound towards Hull in lane one of the motorway when the collision occurred with the man who is believed to have been walking close to the chevrons on the slip road from the A614 at Goole on to the motorway.
He was wearing a three-quarter-length coat and a hat and was carrying a bag.
Police are eager to identify how he came to be at this location. Anyone who saw him prior to this, possibly getting in or out of a vehicle, is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log number 96 of September 8.
