PCSO leaflet drop in bid to cut crime
Published on 7th June 2007 in News
PCSO Sarah Wildbore posts the leaflets around Goole in a bid to cut down on criminal damage.
Leaflets that aim to raise awareness of criminal damage in Goole and the surrounding area are to be distributed in crime hotspots over the coming weeks.
The leaflets will be distributed by the Goole Neighbourhood Action Team (NAT), Humberside Police and Goole Crime Prevention Panel, and encourage residents to report criminal damage by e-mail to Safe Communities at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The leaflet also offers advice as to how you can reduce the risk of criminal damage to your house and vehicle.
"We are keen to raise awareness of criminal damage in Goole and the huge impact it has on the community," said PCSO Sarah Wildbore.
"Once we have a clearer picture of where criminal damage is occurring in the area, the NAT can begin to tackle the causes and find solutions."
Kevin Flynn, chair of the Goole Crime Prevention Panel, added: "The leaflet drops are part of a much wider campaign undertaken by the NAT to reduce the level of criminal damage in Goole."
Photographs and/or addresses of locations of criminal damage in and around Goole can be sent to safe.communities@eastriding.gov.uk
