Storm triggers fire alarm system

Published on 7th June 2007 in News

The storm that hit Goole last Thursday teatime meant a call-out for the town's firefighters.

They went to Hanover Court after the storm triggered the fire alarm.

Later that evening they went to Goole Hospital, where firefighters forced their way into a locked office after staff reported a smell of burning.

Firefighters detected an electrical fault and left it in the hands of engineers.
