Holiday park dance success

It was a storming success for dancers from the Butterfly Dance Studios recently when they took part in a two-day dancing competition at Primrose Valley Holiday Park near Filey.
Competing against other dancers from as far afield as Skegness and Newcastle, Butterfly dancers achieved excellent results, with Megan Craighan coming first and Connie Redshaw coming second in the eight-years-old and under solos category, while Jenna Major and Zoe Grassby came first in the 16-years-old and under doubles category.
Elsewhere in the Doubles contests, Megan Craighan and Connie Redshaw won first place in the eight-years-old and under doubles category, whilst Kelle Ruhmann, Natalie O'Brien and Annie Mahoney came first in the 14-year-old and under trios category.
Groups bag three top placings in team categories
The Red Admirals team from Butterfly Dance Studios won second place in the 11-year-old and under teams category, The Popular Kittens won first place in the 14-year-old and under teams category and White Satin came third in the 16-year-old and under teams category.
Further congratulations go to Connie Redshaw, who won the Best Costume Junior special award, and Chelsea Harper, who walked away with the Best Costume Senior special award. (17-05-31 SU)
