An international flavour was added to the curriculum at Eastoft School last week. Children were participating in a range of varied activities connected with four countries - England, France, China and the Caribbean.
There was also a sporting element to the activities, including cricket, boules, limbo dancing and kite-flying; a healthy option including scones and jam, fruit smoothies and Chinese noodles, as well as an opportunity to learn more about each country's culture.
This week came to a close with parents participating in a celebration of the week's activities. "A week like this lies at the heart of our philosophy," said head teacher Angela Hewson. "It enables children to learn in a fun and interactive way whilst embracing the principles of The Every Child Matters agenda."
