The first UK Hawk AJT Production Aircraft, designated RT003, is taking shape at BAE Systems in Brough and is now structurally complete, marking a significant milestone on the programme.
Scott Millard, Installations Team Leader at BAE Systems Brough, said: "RT003 has now commenced its 20-week installation programme at Brough following completion of the structure build. During the installations process, the fuselage will be equipped with all relevant systems, including fuel, hydraulics, environmental conditioning system (ECS) and electrical wiring harnesses and will undergo comprehensive electrical and mechanical testing."
The first of the new Hawk AJTs will be delivered to the UK MoD in 2008.
