Exclusive new car up for grabs as motor trader joins forces with charity

Published on 24th May 2007 in News

A car dealer from Howden is helping to raise money for breast cancer with two fashionable new models.

Nissan dealer Brian Leighton's is supporting the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign by launching a limited edition Micra CHIC.

The Micra CHIC will be available in a one-off shade of waterfall green - the colour of this year's Fashion Targets logo.

A limited edition Micra C+C CHIC will also be available, in either Nero Black or Blade Silver metallic paint.

Only 220 of the Micra CHIC and 280 of the Micra C+C CHIC will be made and for each one sold, Nissan will donate £200 to the Fashion Targets campaign.

Brian Leighton's is also hoping to raise funds with an event in May.

They are supporting an open amateur golf tournament which will take place at Boothferry Park Golf Course on Sunday, May 27.

More than 100 people have signed up already but entries are still very welcome.

On the day, club pro Matt Rumble, his wife, and Dave Giles, business manager from Brian Leighton Garages, will be on the tenth tee inviting all that pass through to attempt to hit the green in one.

The hole is a par three and organisers are expecting many people to hit the green, and receive a gift from the pro on the spot.

Entry is £5 and all net profit will be donated to the cause with no deductions to the golf club or Brian Leighton Garages.

In the meantime, visitors to Brian Leighton's on Boothferry Road will be able to see the cars up close, and take part in a national prize draw to win an exclusive Micra C+C CHIC in waterfall green – the only one of its kind in the UK.

The first 600 people across the UK to take a test-drive will receive a 50ml bottle of designer perfume.

Mr Giles said: "Nissan's association with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer is something I'm very proud of, which is why we're holding our special event to raise additional funds for the charity.

"I hope as many local people as possible will come along to be a part of it and help us raise money for this fantastic cause."

To arrange a test drive or find out more about the event, call David Giles at Brian Leighton on 01430 430717.

To book a place on the golf tournament, call the club on 01430 430364.
