New mayor

Cllr Hugh Roberts was unanimously voted in as mayor at Howden Town Council's annual general meeting on Tuesday.

He took over from cllr Ingrid Ridley, who was also co-opted back onto the Town Council by councillors at Tuesday's meeting.

Cllr John Watson was elected as vice-chair of Howden Town Council.

New councillors Richard Blee and Elaine Ward were welcomed onto the Town Council.
