Fun for all the family

Published on 24th May 2007 in News

The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft takes on a southern feel this weekend, with trolleybuses in service from the south of England.

A selection of finely-preserved vintage trolleybuses from Reading, London, Maidstone and Bournemouth will provide a public service over this coming bank holiday.

Between 11am and 5pm each day visitors will be able to ride on these vehicles as well as the Museum's usual attractions which include period shop window displays, a trolleybus driving simulator, children's play area and vintage bicycle collection.

The weekend will also feature the relaunch of Bournemouth trolleybus number 297, which will return to public service after a long period of restoration.

Admission into the Museum costs just £5, or £3 for concessions. A family ticket is also available for two adults and up to four concessions for £15.

See the website, www.sandtoft.org, or call 07811791411 for more details.
