Crews rescue deer from canal
Published on 17th May 2007 in News
Firefighters have been called on to perform more deer rescues this week.
Last Wednesday, they went to the Aire and Calder canal in Rawcliffe Bridge but sadly arrived too late to save the animal.
On Saturday evening, two more deer were spotted in the same place and crews from Goole and Hull used lines to pull the animals out before releasing them into the woods.
And on Sunday evening, there was a report of a deer in the water, this time near to the Waterways Museum.
However, it had managed to climb out of the water on its own accord.
