The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust has met its major targets for the sixth year running.

In terms of performance, at the end of March 2007:

l No patient waited more than 20 weeks for their inpatient or day case admission.

l No patient was waiting more than 11 weeks for their outpatient consultation day cases.

l The trust saw 300,205 patients in out-patients.

l The total number of people waiting for in-patient or day case treatment stood at 5,441 (8.3%).

l The total number of people waiting for their initial outpatient appointment is 5,211 – nearly 30% better than planned.

l The trust significantly improved its diagnostic and therapeutic waiting times, with the vast majority of waiting times now being under 13 weeks.

The latest available cancer waiting time data also revealed that in February all of the cancer targets were achieved.

Kevin Turner, director of finance and performance management, said: "Our performance standards show definite and sustained improvements this year and we are well placed for the further challenges we face in this new financial year."

Ade Brooks, chairman of the trust, said: "It is great credit to all our staff that we have been able to achieve all we have during what has been a year of significant change and challenges."
