Memorial service for hero soldier

The father of Private Luke Simpson, the Howden soldier who was killed in Iraq earlier this year, has said he expects there to be a service in honour of his son.
Private Simpson (21), of the 1st Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment, died on February 9 while on patrol in a Land Rover.
Members of his unit are understood to be coming home in the next month and Luke's father Nigel, a retired sergeant major, said he expected the army to hold a service for his son.
He said it would depend on the mood of the battalion when they returned and could take the form of a parade or possibly a church service.
Mr Simpson, of Cheshire, said he will be glad to see other members of Luke's unit back in the country.
But sadly, Luke will not be with them.
