A School Safety Zone is soon to be installed outside Cowick Primary School as part of a Safer Routes to School scheme.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is proposing to install high-visibility signing and lines outside, and leading to, the school on Snaith Road to ensure that drivers are fully aware that they are approaching a school.
Members of Snaith and Cowick Town Council were in agreement with the proposal at Monday's meeting.
East Riding councillor Terry Allison said: "Cowick Primary School has taken the time and effort to submit a travel plan to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and they should be recognised for this. They have done well."
