Published on 3rd May 2007 in News

The country's only mobile straw bale cabin will be open for public viewing tomorrow (Friday).

The eco-friendly cabin, which was built from 90 full bales and 33 half bales and uses renewable energy sources, stands in the grounds of Village Farm, Brind.

Available to rent as a holiday home, it is the brain child of Carol and Richard Atkinson, of Eastrington who have decided to organise an open day.

"People kept asking me if there was going to be one - they can come and have a nosy," said Carol.

The open day will take place between 10am and 8pm on Friday, with refreshments and displays.
