Staff at the Wetherspoons in Goole are busy this week gearing up for a beer festival that is set to showcase the UK's and Europe's finest beers.

The festival is set to run from Monday, April 23 until Monday, May 7 inclusive, with award-winning beers on offer, all priced at £1.30 per pint.

The beers on sale will include Jennings Snecklifter from Cumbria, Highgate Highland Whisky Ale from the West Midlands and St Georgenbrau Keller Bier from Germany. In addition, to celebrate St George's Day being the first day of the festival, the pub will serve Manns St George and Dragon Ale from Wiltshire.

"The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of beers, which are not normally available in the area," said landlord Simon Pierce.

"Customers will also be able to buy the beers, using our third-of-a-pint glasses, which I believe will be popular."
