Pupils of Boothferry Primary School took part in a mock citizenship ceremony yesterday as part of a hands-on approach to learning about citizenship in schools.
Boothferry Primary were the second school to take part. The ceremony was conducted by a registrar and took the form of a real ceremony. A number of pupils took part, with others standing in as dignitaries.

The chair of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, along with the Goole superintendent registrar and registrar, came to demonstrate proceedings with a mock citizenship ceremony, with the help of some of the pupils.
