Gala plans

Published on 19th April 2007 in News

A special meeting is being held in the Old Goole Working Men's Club today, Thursday, April 19 in order to make arrangements for this year's Old Goole Gala.

The meeting begins at 7.30pm and is being held to try and encourage as many people as possible to join the Gala committee. People are needed for all sorts of activities, both on the day and running up to the event.

A spokesperson from the Old Goole Gala Association said that if there was not a successful turn out at the meeting, the small but loyal number of Gala Association members will have no alternative but to scrap plans for an event this year.

If this happens, a community meeting will be held to discuss the future of the Gala and its assets.

Members of the Gala Association look forward to a successful meeting.
