Gang of teenager girls 'record' sickening attack on youngster

Published on 12th April 2007 in News

Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of girls tried to pull down the trousers of a 12-year-old while she was walking in the town centre on Good Friday evening.

The girl, from Goole, was walking down Pasture Road between 7pm and 7.30pm when she was approached from behind by a group of four or five girls.

One of the girls, who are said to be aged 13 to 15, tried to pull the 12-year-old's jogging bottoms down.

The girl's body was not exposed but the offender tried to film the assault with a mobile phone.

Shortly afterwards the group tried to pull the victim's trousers down on Colonel's Walk, but did not manage to do so. They may have gone into shops at the bottom of Colonel's Walk.

Two youths are thought to have spoken to the girls after the incident and may know who they are.

The girl who tried to pull the victim's trousers down had blond or brown hair worn to the neck, jeans, white boots and a pink jacket and what the victim described as a large nose.

The phone is thought to be a Sony Ericsson.

Police would like to speak to the two youths who spoke to the group or to anyone who saw the incident.

Contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222, quoting log number 883 of April 6.
