Busy time for firefighters

Goole firefighters went to the westbound carriageway of the M62 after reports of a caravan on fire between junctions 36 and 37 but found that the problem was an overheated car.
They received the call shortly before 4pm on Thursday.
Later that evening, at 8.55pm, the firefighters were called to Johnson's Farm on Swinefleet Road after smoke was mistaken for a fire.
The next day, they went to a flat next to Arcadia on North Street at 10.05am for what turned out to be a well-meaning false alarm call.
Crews attended the Iceland store on Boothferry Road at 3.25pm on Friday but found the call to be a false alarm.
Also on Friday, at 1.11pm, they went to Croda Chemicals at Rawcliffe Bridge after the fire alarm in the boiler room was activated.
The town's firefighters went to Goole Leisure Centre on Sunday after a plastic bag left on the hot plate of an oven triggered the fire alarm.
They arrived shortly after 1pm but did not need to take any action apart from inspecting the premises.
A trailer parked on Church Lane at Swinefleet was severely damaged by fire on Sunday afternoon.
Crews used a jet and two hose-reels to put out burning paint pots and aerosols shortly after 1.30pm.
On Tuesday a Goole crew were called to Henry Street at 5.17pm after a wooden chopping board was left on a hot hob.
The firefighters dealt with the incident and ventilated the property.
