Fun day in store

Published on 29th March 2007 in News

Shoppers at the Co-op store in Snaith could find themselves served by a princess, pilot, ballerina - or even Elvis - when they call at the branch next Monday, April 2.

Staff at the Market Place store will be realising their ambitions for the day by dressing as what they wanted to be when they grew up, as part of a national fundraising campaign for The Children's Society.

The Snaith staff are joining around 25,000 retail colleagues across the country in dressing up to kick-off fundraising activity aimed at raising a massive £1m by the end of the year for the charity.

Karen Luby, manager of the Snaith Co-op, said: "Money raised at local stores will directly benefit vulnerable children in the region and we will be pulling out all the stops to raise as much as we can."
