Dancing dream

Following the success of their intermediate dancers last month, Butterfly Dance Studios' Senior and Adult dancers continued the winning streak and also achieved excellent results this month at another International Dance Teachers' Association Competition at Castleford Civic Centre.

Competing against other dancers from all around the North East of England, Butterfly's results were: medalist of the Year Solo (18 to 25 years) - 2nd Rhiann Almond.

36 Years and over - 1st Lyn Mulley, 3rd Andrea Wraith.

Graded Solos - 14 to 17 years Bronze - 1st Tanya Frere. 14 to 17 years bars/stars - one recall Elizabeth Lucas.

Disco Pairs - 14 to 17 years - one recall – Zoe Grassby & Bethany Mulley. Two recalls – Elizabeth Lucas and Tanya Frere.

Rock n Roll - 14 to 17 years - 1st Tanya Frere and Elizabeth Lucas. Two recalls – Bethany Mulley and Zoe Grassby. One Recall – Jessica Holmes and Jessica Wood, Jodie Coleman and Kim Ward. 36 years and over - 3rd Nicky Shaw and Andrea Wraith.

Street-dance - 18 to 25 years - 2nd Lisa Holt. 26 to 35 years - 2nd Tracey Pollard, 3rd Jane Drury; 36 years and over - 3rd Andrea Wraith.

Slowdance - 18 to 25 years - 2nd Lisa Holt. 26 to 35 years - 2nd Jane Drury. 36 years and up - 2nd Andrea Wraith.
