Flag on display

Published on 29th March 2007 in News

Goole Museum has been given a two-year loan of a flag which originally hung in the offices of Bennett's Steam Shipping Company on Stanhope Street.

Anna J. Dixon, a keen collector of flags, was given this one more than 20-years ago and believes it was once in a ship's engine room.

It has been at the Waterways Museum for two years and will now be displayed at Goole Museum, above Goole Library, on Carlisle Street.
