Weighty issue

Published on 29th March 2007 in News

A leading weight-loss therapist is looking to join forces with employers in the Goole area in order to launch an innovative award scheme aimed at tackling the issue of being 'overweight at work'.

Colin Wilson is well-known throughout the Yorkshire region as a life coach, and insists that his new "Be Slim 4 Life' Business Award will improve business performance and increase opportunities for career progression.

Colin, who was trained by Paul McKenna, said: "Companies need to pay more attention to the problems caused by staff being overweight. This is a national issue that needs to be tackled equally by both the employee and the employer, and I would like to see East Yorkshire's business community leading the way."

The 'Be Slim 4 Life' Business Award requires employers to introduce a number of strategies, for example preventing over-eating in the workplace, and to encourage greater awareness of weight levels.

Colin added: "The 'Be Slim 4 Life' Business Award is a unique opportunity for companies to get involved in a positive, ground-breaking programme that will help individuals and work performance levels, and perhaps put Goole on the map in the fight against obesity."
